Leading horseman Kevin Thomas established Washpool Lodge in 1991. The beautiful 480-acre property with river flats and undulating hills is located at Aratula just over one hour from Brisbane. Washpool Lodge is a predominately a family run business with Kevin’s wife Pauline the main secretary and Kevin and daughter Letitia and son in law Kerry Langbecker all working with the horses.

We specialise in horse breaking and pre-training as well as agistment. The property has a 1000m sand training track, 8 and 4 horse walking machines, treadmill, 100 stables, 80 individual agistment stables with 1⁄4 acre paddocks as well as 20, 5 acre paddocks for shared agistment. Washpool Lodge can also offer exporting services for our clients.

All horses have 24 hour care and we pride our selves in producing the best. We provide Breaking in and Pre-training to Australia's leading thoroughbred owners and trainers. Washpool Lodge is used and recommended by many of the leading prime thoroughbred bloodstock agents including Magic Millions Sales, Mr Yoo - Korea and Steven Leung Leading trainer in Macau.
